Event
PyConDE and PyDataDE: a 3-day Feminist AI LAN Party
This year’s PyConDE and PyDataDE will host a free Feminist AI LAN party for anyone interested in connecting locally and exploring what it means to build, use and hack for Feminist AI.
Room setup and IT-crew setup will be on Monday, April 13. The main program runs alongside the conference from Tuesday, 14 April to Thursday, 16 April 2026 (no ticket required to participate). Room breakdown will be on Friday, 17 April.
To make this year even more of a success, we need volunteers, donations, facilitators and computers. Hope you can join us and help out.
Volunteers
We need volunteers to help with:
- IT support: come a day early to the conference and help set up the networking switch, network cables and machines. Then, sign up for a slot to help folks deal with IT-issues or to work on the servers during the party.
- Room facilitation and hosting: greet folks, explain the different areas of the space, help organize the unconference schedule.
- Room setup and breakdown: Set up and/or tear down the decorations, zine station and computer equipment.
If you’d like to volunteer for any of these roles, please reach out via email or on Bluesky.
Donations
Open call for donations:
- Bring a computer to hook up and offer a service to the room (llm-serving, ComfyUI serving, database or shared file storage, chat, shared documents).
- Bring materials for the zine-making station (scissors, pens, tape, paper, magazines, stamps, art).
- Bring Ethernet-to-USB adapters so even more people can connect to the network.
- Bring a piece of art or interactive to promote discussion and inspiration around Feminist AI.
If you are bringing a computer with you, we ask that you try to come a day early if you might need additional setup or installation, or just make sure you’re able to set up the computer yourself during the LAN party.
Any donations will be returned to their owner on the final day of the conference. Just stop by and pick up your stuff. :)
Proposals
Talk and workshop proposals:
We are looking forward to proposals for workshops, talks or activities in the space. The same format of unconference will be proposed, where you can drop into the space and propose a talk, proposal and activity for that day or later in the conference.
But this year, we’re also inviting you to propose activities, talks and worksops early. If you have an idea and want to share it now, get feedback or choose a timeslot that works for you, please reach out via email.
We’ll be posting the rough schedule and proposals to share with attendees. Just like last year, there will be open schedule slots if you’d like to come up with an idea during the conference.
We look forward to seeing you there and exploring what Feminist AI ideas you bring this year!
Feedback, questions or just want to say hi?
Please reach out via email or on Bluesky.
